Eleven seconds to set the tone of an entire series.
Overview
Arena is one of Visual Native's products, a platform providing visual solutions for enterprise companies. Its podcast needed an intro that felt like it belonged to a serious B2B brand without sounding like a corporate explainer.
The challenge
An intro this short is played at the top of every single episode, which means it has to survive being watched hundreds of times. Anything showy gets irritating by episode three. It also had to carry the Arena identity on its own, with no voiceover and no host on screen.
The approach
I built the sequence around the mark itself, using a restrained palette and typographic pacing rather than effects. The style frames were locked first so the animation had a fixed target, and the whole thing was cut to land on a single held logo, a clean handoff into whatever the episode opens with.
Style frames
Eight frames covering every beat of the sequence, approved before animation began.
The result
A reusable eleven-second open that the team can top every episode with, delivered with the style frames as a small kit so future variants stay on brand.
