Gift of Life

Overview

A freelance commission for Gift of Life, designed for all of their 2018 Jerusalem Marathon team shirts. The marathon raised awareness and money for the charity, which finds donors for stem-cell transplants around the world.

The challenge

Apparel for a cause has to work on a runner from thirty metres away and still feel personal up close. It also had to carry real warmth without becoming sentimental, the subject does not need help being moving.

The approach

A single illustrated mark built around the idea of the gift being passed between hands, in a palette that reads at distance on the team shirt colour.

The result

Worn by the full Gift of Life marathon team in 2018.
